Hi Alecten family! Welcome to another informative step-by-step guide that explains how you can get a perfect Surround sound by connecting multiple Bluetooth speakers together with a single device. You may need this setting when you are arranging a big party, watching your favorite movie with your friends and family OR just vibing to your favorite music. Pairing multiple speakers is a real fun because it levels up the sound volume and quality.
You can do this by following these simple steps:
Step-1: Is Your Device Compatible For Pairing?
Please note that all devices are not compatible for pairing with multiple bluetooth speakers at a time. Whether you have a smart phone, tablet or desktop computer, check if they support dual audio or multipoint Bluetooth. New smart phones like iPhone and Samsung support this feature.
Step-2: Connect Your Device With Multiple Speakers
For Android:
- Go to Settings, then Bluetooth menu.
- Click 3 dots or Advanced settings.
- Find Media Output or Dual Audio Settings.
- If there is Dual Audio option, toggle it to turn ON allowing multiple speakers connection.
- If there is Media Output option, select Bluetooth devices from given list to connect.
- Top speakers brands have their own Apps for connection like Bose Connect and JBL PartyBoost.
For iPhones:
- Go to Settings Click on Bluetooth
- Connect One Speaker
- Open Control Center and click AirPlay icon to turn ON music player
- If you are able to select multiple speakers it means your phone supports Audio Sharing (for Airpods and Beats headphone)
- If there is no support, use 3rd party Apps like Bose Connect, AmpMe and JBL PartyBoost to connect multiple speakers.
Step-3: Get A Hub or Bluetooth Transmitter
This is an optional step but really useful if your device cannot sync with multiple speakers. A good Bluetooth transmitter like Taotronics OR Avantree Oasis can be plugged into your device that transmits music/audio signals to multiple Bluetooth speakers simultaneously.
Step-4: Smart Assistant For Grouping Multi-Room Speakers
If you are hosting a party at home in multiple rooms and want same sound/music at all rooms at the same time then you can use Google Nest, Apple HomePod or Amazon Echo. You can use their Apps to connect multiple speakers and enjoy Surround sound in all rooms.
Step-5: Sync All Wireless Bluetooth Speakers
After connecting all speakers, you need to check if they are properly synced. Play a test sound and check whether there is a delay in playing sound. If you find any delay use your App or Bluetooth Hub to fix and adjust latency settings.
Bonus Advice: Use Same Brand of Speakers
Now all your speakers are connected together and you can enjoy a great Surround sound. You may feel little latency and quality issues if you have used different brands of speakers. My last bonus advice is to use Wireless Bluetooth speakers of same brand to get best output.
Have fun and ask Alecten if you have any questions.
